Cyber Crawler – Yellow wizard live in the dark side

Google Search Appliance (GSA) is a combination of hardware and software in one self-contained computer system. A simple process of plugging into both a network and an electrical outlet is all that is required to setup the physical equipment.

Architecture and Scale

With the Google Search Appliance 6.0, organisations can bring unlimited scale to their enterprise search deployments. This scalability addresses multiple dimensions – the number of documents crawled, the speed with which they are crawled, the ease of adding more documents, response time, and the number of queries the search engine can concurrently handle. With the GSA 6.0, Google has unveiled a new architecture, (GSA)n, allowing organisations to gain the benefits of Google scale across all of these dimensions. This architecture is built in to two product models: the GB-7007, supporting installations of up to 10 million documents, and the GB-9009, for installations of 10 million pages or more, with unlimited capacity.
